Randomly Assessed Travel

I've been told that my mind often seems to drift away in times of travel. Quite often on my way to work each morning I take Chicago CTA and try to let my mind wander into a structured but random free association of thoughts... As I have to make a conscious effort to remember to get off at the right place here's a sample of how bizzare I am...

In my state of semi-intentional meditation I think of words and what they ought to mean:

  • Humility: Allow yourself to be right only after you prove the other is not wrong

  • Multitasking: Everything is clear...except the truth

  • Liberty: Conjunct actions will not follow the precedent as children will not play as one

  • Disturbance: The self will reassure the non when invention yields unbroken mirrors

  • Uneasiness: Abundance? Information will corrupt the goodness of intention

  • Helplessness: Control over manmade laws

  • Time: The blinking of an eye against the wind

Perhaps my passion for travel comes from the fact that I can get lost within a 2 mile distance from my home and feel a guest in the same coffee shop I've bought my tea for years. I only seem to remember and feel at home when I am surrounded by nature that exhibits endless view- not much unlike an ocean or continuous farm land. But now...I have to remember to stop my hurry and cross the street carefully on my way to work today...

  • Majesty is Everything.
